Spring Hill Kansas to Laredo Texas

We delivered our load at 9 o'clock this morning. Our customer emptied our trailer with impressive speed.
This was Stephanie's first time in Laredo. I was hoping she would be able to see & experience some of what makes the border city so famous & notorious. She surely did, except for the mobile kitchens. They were nowhere to be found this time. She was amused that I like to call them "roach coaches".
We spent two nights under this load. The first night was at the Flying J in Ardmore Oklahoma.  There, we partook of Stephanie's delicious truck-prepared beef pot roast & took a long walk afterward. We came way too close to getting sprayed by a skunk during that after-dinner trek.
Last night, we parked at the Schneider OC, in Laredo. There, we got our laundry cleaned. It's always fascinating to see how quickly Stephanie makes friends whenever we visit a laundry room. She truly is easy to talk to. Among the drivers there was a particular one who we met a few weeks earlier in Dallas. He told Stephanie his life story while I was out on a road test. Very amusing & slightly annoying to her.
This trip was a good & profitable one. We are currently under one of the only loads leaving southern Texas. She selected this one in the nick of time.
