September 13 Was Lots of Things

September 13 was our full day off duty, in & around Nixa. I drove around in the tractor, legally on logbook line five. (that's where we contractors can be off-duty while driving for personal reasons). I no longer have access to the Mazda, as I have surrendered ownership of it to my estranged wife.
Stephanie got to spend time with my brother for the first time. He likes her a lot and gave her some memorable conversations that we continue to laugh about. As you may know, he is mentally disabled and does many bizarre and funny things.
We went down to Crane Missouri so I could get a haircut from my favorite barber, Jim. It's a 30 minute drive down there, but it was totally worth it. He is a good friend and gives the best haircuts of anyone.
After much research and pen labor,  I finally turned in my dissolution paperwork to the county courthouse.  It unfortunately required two trips to complete that task. One of the items wasn't completed, so I had to find the library, sign up for a card and use their computer to print out a document. I later found out that my estranged wife was also filing dissolution paperwork on the same day! The court staff will surely find it bizarre that we are both claiming to be the "petitioner". I thought we had some communication on the matter, but obviously we didn't speak of it with necessary clarity. She hired an attorney while I am self representing. I think she got her papers served today, September 16. I have yet to receive mine, as I am out of town. I was told that I can visit the sheriffs office when I get into town to pick up my summons. The court website docket indicates that our meeting with the judge will be on the 15th of November.
Among the many things that we did on the 13th was to spend several hours with my three children. We had a great time in the city park. We had pizza for dinner. Our evening wrapped up at the Christian church, where Hunter had his Boy Scout meeting.
