Critically Needed 34 Hours

As I mentioned in the prior post, I've been running the overnight shift. My "workdays" have often begun at 8:00 in the evening. There were times that I got sleepy enough to justify pulling into a truckstop for a 20-minute nap; I take fatigue seriously. After ending my workshift, I would usually sleep solidly for 4 hours, then find myself unable to return to meaningful slumber.
After delivering my load to a town near Houston Texas, I beelined it to the nearest Flying J to begin my 34-hour restart. For the first 24 hours, I didn't spend much time outside of my truck. My binging on sleep & television felt so good.

As always, I wish I could have spent my time off at home. However, being at home might not have been so healthy - as two of my boys are struggling against a stomach virus. They are doing better today.
My shower number will be called in a few minutes.
