Roaming the Southeast/ Avoiding Bad Weather

We had a really nice Christmas. As usual, our families did virtually all of the celebrating on the 24th. I left home around 10am, on Christmas Day. My parents followed me to Tulsa Oklahoma, where we had lunch at a truckstop. It was a two-hour event due to the natural short-staffing the volume of customers flocking to one of the very few places that were open on the big holiday.
From there, my parents & I went our separate ways. We were both heading to the vicinity of Oklahoma City. I prefer to keep my sleed below 65, while my folks enjoy zipping along at the full 75mph limit.
The freight had been good. I randomly chose to move a few loads to & around the Southeastern region, including Florida. In hindsight, I realize that I made a really good decision to go where I did. The middle of the U.S. has been experiencing really awful weather, including tornadoes, flooding & wintry weather.
Today I am in Kentucky, slowly working my way back home.
