Texas Has Awesome Rest Areas

With intentions of making it home tonight, I drove as long as I could drive last night. I pulled into the Hill County rest area with only 24 minutes to spare on my 14-hour clock. Every space was filled & drivers were double parking perpendicular to the legitimately parked rigs. I pulled in behind a short RV, with my trailer sticking out into the aisle farther than I would have liked. Another driver almost immediately parked behind me, perpendicularly. I was completely blocked in. No worries. The dreaded "move your truck" became less and less likely. I slept really well.
In the morning, I took my customary one-mile walk. I made some bizarre patterns.
I made it home around 10pm. Lots of hugs and affection tonight. The kids are staying up late, watching Willy Wonka.
