SNI MECHANIC SAYS LEAVE IT BE
The morning of April 23, I had yet another fuel filter installed. By Sunday afternoon, the fuel level had already risen to the top, the standard for replacing it. Yesterday, I unsuccessfully tried to get it replaced at the Houston shop. I was on a strict time budget. I took my chances and continued my schedule across Texas Oklahoma and Arkansas. This afternoon, I stopped at the West Memphis OC to attempt to have the problem addressed again. The mechanic noticed that the filter paper was relatively unsoiled, so he suggested that I continue running with it. I took his advice and left the OC without getting a new fuel filter. When my truck starts to develop power problems, that's when I will relent to getting a new filter. I hope I'm making the right decision here.
