It was my dad's 61st birthday. We went over to celebrate.
My dad loves watermelon. So we brought one over as part of his gift.
After spending some time with my parents, we left to take Hunter to Cub Scout daycamp, being held on church property in Springfield. The prior daycamp session had to be suspended due to a rough weather.
Hunter wasn't sure he wanted to attend the final two days of the event, but he ended up reporting a really good time. I found it interesting that the boys were learning how to change bicycle tires and dune buggy tires, along with learning how to throw tomahawks.
While Hunter was doing his thing, Forest enjoyed the sole attention from me and his mom. We went out for frozen yogurt and then to see a movie.
When we got back to pick up Hunter, the Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts were in the process of retiring an American flag. Hunter had a rewarding time. When we got home, he was more than ready for bed. Sleep was good, but short. I had to take off at 5 o'clock Saturday morning. I stopped a couple of times to take naps. Fatigued driving is something I sincerely avoid. I got much better sleep the following night.
