TRY TO PARK BEFORE SUNSET
If I can stop before sunset, a good parking spot is usually assured. For a couple days, until yesterday, I had to run into the late evening. Finding a parking spot near a major city past 10pm is a real ordeal. I went truckstop to truckstop, roaming the aisles for an open space. Other drivers were searching also. As my drivable time dwindled to mere minutes, I did find somewhere to park 20 miles down the road - at a filthy undesirable & barely-advertised truckstop. The prior night was almost as much of a challenge to get properly parked. This is exactly why I don't have a problem starting my workday way before sunrise. I want to have my rig parked before sunset to avoid these frustrations.
