Here it is. It's a 2014 Freightliner Cascadia, with 1,800 miles on the odometer. At first, I was a little dampened that so many miles had been driven on my brand-new truck. Then I thought about it: if anything was wrong or maladjusted at the Mexican assembly plant, the transport service would have discovered it by now & any problems would have been corrected. Schneiders IC maintenance manager (Lawrence) gave my truck a thorough inspection, as did I, before signing papers. Everything appears to be in good working order.

It has an auxiliary climate control unit bolted to the back of the sleeper. It's purely battery operated.

The gauge panel is set up a little differently from the previous Cascadia models.

My QUALCOMM unit has yet to be installed. See that blue-lit instrument? That's the predictive cruise control/proximity safety device. (On-guard).

Here is the room where I signed my piles of leasing paperwork.

And this is the Schneider Finance manager who walked me through every step of the way. She is a true professional.
