CLEANING OUT THE TRACTOR IN NIXA

In spite of his strange & unreasonable protests, I insisted that Mr. H drive the rig to Nixa (my home). He wanted to end our partnership in Ozark, his hometown. He was thinking that I would unload my personal belongings into his SUV and drive me home. For a variety of reasons this was certainly not a workable option for me. He acted really resentful toward me about it & said some really dumb things. I just remained silent & reminded myself that we had just a few more minutes left together. All the satisfying things I wanted to verbally explode with could have bad future ramifications, so I minded my manners.
I have made it a point never to write anything negative about him. But this time I will make an exception: he is not a nice man. It has taken a lot of effort to maintain a professional demeanor toward him during the accelerating incidents of his irrational & unprovoked harsh words toward me. He speaks abusively to his wife on the phone, so I don't take his abrasiveness too personally. Just a harsh look usually gets my point across.
This was our last day to be teaming together. I will begin a new chapter of my truck driving life next week; he will continue driving the company tractor for Schneider National. I can't help but wonder if he will get a new partner. How do you think that will go?!

Ironically, my decision here has nothing to do with him. I've got an opportunity of a lifetime on my doorstep. Stay tuned...
