WEEKEND IN INDIANAPOLIS

It was just a few days ago that we took our previous restart. That was in Laredo, Texas.

(34 hours off-duty resets the 70 hour clock. We are limited to 70 hours of work/driving in an eight day period.)

Starting next month, the law won't allow us to take a restart more frequently than seven days. So, we are taking restarts like it's going out of style!

At 2am, I stopped in Marion, Illinois for driver swap. That was exactly when the torrential, rowdy storms caught up with us. Mr. H conducted an abbreviated pretrip inspection. He drove a little more slowly than usual, due to standing water on the interstate roads. He delivered our load to a warehouse in an Indianapolis suburb, within the acceptable delivery time window.

After departing with an empty trailer, we spent a full hour parked on I-70. A truck wreck had the eastbound lanes completely shuts down. I got out of bed shortly after arriving at the Indianapolis OC. It was about 11am.

I'm staying at the OC this time, while Mr. H enjoys the privacy and amenities of a motel room.
