My first day back on the road is not as smooth as it usually is. First, for 45 minutes, I had to search a huge yard for an empty, road-worthy trailer. Then, at the shipper's yard, there weren't any empty spaces to properly drop off my empty trailer in. And now - a flat tire. The driver before me failed to notice that a significant defect was plaguing the empty trailer he was dropping off. Our shipper loaded it and innocently assigned it to me. Dealing with this flat tire is costing me valuable time. But, such is the truck driver's life. These inconveniences don't happen as often as they used to, so I'm not too aggravated. This is still the best job ever.
