IN AND OUT OF LAREDO

In the wee early hours, we arrived in Laredo. Mr. H was driving. I was trying to get some sleep. I was aware of when we arrived, and I choose to get up to take a shower. We lingered outside of the entrance/inspection station for several minutes upon arrival. After flashing our highbeams and blowing the horn, no mechanics/staff presented themselves. Mr H had to get out to look around. After about five minutes he reappeared, with the drowsy inspection mechanic. 

Once we were permitted to pull into the station, I got out with my backpack, and walked to the drivers comport building. I was really needing a shower! 

My co-driver performed the tasks of dropping off our relay trailer & picking up an empty trailer. 

Our next assignment had us picking up a load in San Antonio. I didn't get much sleep in the bunk while he drove. About half an hour after he left the OC, we had to stop at the United States Border Patrol check station. We had to declare that we were both US citizens. I still didn't get much sleep after that. Wish me luck today driving safely. Be assured that I will find a safe place to park if I get too drowsy this evening.
