Local drivers should be the only ones who are required to maneuver 53' trailers in the highly-congested areas of New Jersey. We delivered during the middle of the night to a transfer warehouse in Hoboken, New Jersey. Construction forced me to stray from my original directions. This caused nearly an hour's worth of headaches trying to achieve that final half-mile. My co-driver got up early, thankfully. He helped spot me around extremely tight corners; he also helped me back significant distances from particular avenues that became impossible to negotiate. We were living a trucker's nightmare, but we triumphed through the gargantuan obstacles. A little pride is in order here.
I snapped a few random pictures. They aren't very good, but they're what I have.
