ERIE, PA - GARY, IN
Our company's approved route between the above points are composed of onerous & slow US highways. Whenever we parallel the easy-looking I-90 tollway, our jealousy level elevates. Why do we have to suffer down here? We don't get sent to this region very often, so it isn't a frequent ordeal. Regina and I were sent here about once a month back in 2002 through 2004. Those were the days before EZ-Pass was accepted for payment. We didn't mind coughing up the extra cash to save at least two hours and have a pleasant trip. Nowadays, if a driver takes the tollway without prior approval, the toll will be deducted from his paycheck. I haven't had that happen to me yet. So, last night, when Mr. H took over, I explained to him what his routing options looked like. I told him about the company policy and offered to pay half the toll if he wanted to remain on I-90. He didn't deliberate long. The tollway it was. Sleep was easy and I woke up well-rested at the Gary OC.
