We will be home late this evening. Since our 34 hour restart, we have completed 2 1/2 more Chrysler loads. In total, we have done 5 1/2 Chrysler loads between Detroit and Laredo. At 1563 miles each way, we are smiling big. I wish we could keep this load of empty engine racks during our time at home, but we have been told to relay this trailer in St. Louis instead. I guess it really needs to get to Mexico quickly. We have ran our maximum allotment of hours each day, feeling a little competitive. I'm not usually one for doing the same kind of loads over and over, but it beats what my California colleagues have been doing lately - sitting around for days at a time, waiting for any kind of assignment to get them moving. It's really bad out there.
I'm still active in the WAZE community. Yesterday, Valentine's Day, members got to pick up extra points as they encountered "road goodies". Whenever you drive over one of these roses or cupcakes, casino-like chimes ring & your animated vehicle turns into a glowing, happy Pac-Man. These "road goodies" are also worth several points. I picked up those points & my usual points by reporting accidents & road hazards - all hands-free, of course.
