OUTRUNNING BAD WEATHER

Wednesday night/Thursday morning. 2:55am. Approaching Nashville, Tennessee. On our way to Georgia.

Jim, a friend from Iowa, exchanged several text messages with me today, while I was roaming around Chicagoland. He cautioned me about the approaching winter weather. Conditions were forecasted to be very bad in Iowa tonight. About an hour after our conversation, we got our next assignments: Chicago to Indianapolis. Indianapolis to Atlanta. Atlanta to West Memphis. I got moving right away, outrunning the bulk of the approaching storms. I got rained on a little, though. But, a little rain sure beats the road-closing blizzards that are currently pounding parts of the Midwest. I've also heard about tornadoes touching down in Arkansas, causing significant damage.

BLOOPER AT THE FUEL ISLAND
Around mid-day Tuesday, we were at the OC, in Gary, Indiana. My partner went inside to use the restroom before he fueled our truck. In the meantime, another gray truck, nearly identical to ours, parked beside us. When Victor returned, I watched him go to that truck, open the door & search around the seat for his gloves. I let this continue for about 15 seconds before I called out to him, allowing him to retreat from the truck before humiliating himself even further.
