CHANGE OF PLANS

We found our relay trailer last night & decided to take off with it before daybreak. Victor got his laundry done before starting work. We had originally planned to spend the day at the Laredo OC, but haste won out.

I was awakened by the Border Patrol this morning. Checkpoints can be such a nuisance sometimes. Yes, I am a United States citizen & no, I will not step outside. Good day, sir.

My workday was mostly spent in New Mexico, on US highways, with varying speed limits & stoplights. I enjoyed the local street experience. It's good to spend a day off of the interstates sometimes.

Our fuel level is getting really low. My repeated requests to Green Bay, for a fuel solution, went unanswered. My co-driver just took over. He will be stopping at a truckstop in Green River, Utah for fuel. Hopefully they still do business with our company. I assured Victor that we have enough fuel to get there, despite the warning lights on the dash. If I'm wrong, I will owe him a meal. Ha ha.
