Westbound

My workday started in McLean, Texas, and ended in Flagstaff, Arizona. The weather remained unseasonably warm until I approached Flagstaff. The roadway became slick, and I had to slow way down. My partner and I swapped at the Little America truckstop. He eased out onto I-40 as gently as I had exited twenty minutes prior. As I lay here, in the bunk, it feels as if my co-driver is running at full speed. Conditions must have improved. I will tell you where we delivered to, after we get there. We have security procedures to follow.

My son, Forest, enjoys eating at Subway. Today, Regina told me that he ordered a sandwich with pepperoni and Swiss cheese, toasted. He also included lettuce, olives, and banana peppers. He asked to sit by the window, next to the entrance of Walmart. He said that he likes to watch people. For a four-year-old child, he sure has personality.
