We just got a message over the Qualcomm unit directing us to relay this California-bound load in Memphis. I am truly disappointed! My uncle was telling me that he'd really like to see me soon, before he goes to Mexico for several months. Also, my cousin in flying in for a brief visit, and I was really wanting to see her too. Such is life.
About 10 days ago, I had the opportunity to spend a day in Seattle. I engaged in the full tourist experience, plus I got to have dinner with a cousin that I hadn't seen in 6 years!
I am writing this update from the bunk of the truck. My co-driver has the cruise set at 65 mph, and intends to stop at the Pilot Travel Center in Memphis. We left home 3 days ago. I'm still proud of the way this rig shines, after a good wash. We have 329,000 miles on the odometer, and this Cascadia still runs like new. We will have to give it up in about 100,000 miles, in accordance with the lease agreement.
We just entered Tennessee. Good bye, for now.
